A non-profit foundation needed a site that could tell its impact story and collect donations, run day-to-day by staff with no development background.

1. 01Kept the CMS structure simple and predictable so updates don't require developer involvement.
2. 02Built the donation flow and impact storytelling as the two things the site has to do well, and kept everything else out of the way of those two goals.

• Custom WordPress theme with a restricted set of content blocks, so editors can't accidentally break the layout.
• Donation integration wired into the theme's templates directly, not bolted on as a separate plugin page.
• Impact storytelling templates (photo essays, program updates) built as a reusable content type.
